individual chocolate cheesecakes

It was only a matter of time before I posted a cheesecake recipe. With chocolate. Cheesecake is basically my favourite dessert ever, with tiramisu coming in at a close second. Oh wait, mum makes these amazing chocolate pots which are to die for....oh it's too hard to pick favourite desserts, there are just too many good ones.

This is my new favourite. I know, I know, I've probably said that before but it is! It's perfect for special occasions because most of us either a) have a fussy friend who can't eat anything or b) are the fussy friend themselves. I come under category b) which annoys me because I don't like being fussy. I've had to learn the art of saying 'no' when offered delicious looking (chocolate) foods that I know will punish me later.

It's not like I don't eat gluten or dairy such to annoy people on a daily basis. Most people are the same with whatever food they avoid - usually there is a good reason and would love to be able to eat chocolate cheesecake and pizza. My reason: I eat gluten or dairy and don't feel so hot afterwards.

This is a potential new favourite - and get this: completely chocolate free. I didn't think is was possible to have a favourite food that does no contain chocolate. I did deliberate topping these salted caramel bars with chocolate, but thankfully decided against it. And with all this chocolate Valentine's Day stuff EVERYWHERE, it's like a holiday for your tastebuds. If they could go on holidays.

There are gazillions of chocolate avocado mousses out there, I know. But I wanted to make my own version, because I can - and someone who is reading this might not have tried a 'mousse' with avocado before, and they are definitely worth a try.

This is goodness in a bowl. Seriously, you're doing your body a favour if you have a bowl of this for lunch or dinner - just make sure you have some protein in the other meals. I usually make this as a lunch, as dinner usually has some sort of protein in it.

This is a great and easy way to get some vegies into my day and a bowl of this really fills me up. It's also great at to eat after having cake for breakfast...it's all about balance right?

It's about time I posted something savoury for a change. I've been posting so much sweet stuff lately. It's a reflection on what I prefer to eat...but I'm trying to change my habits. 
 
Now there is two requirements I have for a salad - it must be hearty and it must have a good dressing. I usually avoid salads mainly because they don't fill me up. I like them as a side but for the main event, I usually find myself binging on something of the chocolate kind soon afterwards.

This smoothie is crazy filling. So filling that I had to put 'serves 1-2' because I couldn't finish the whole thing on my own. Maybe I'm just a sook. My sisters are nodding right now. But one thing I know is that if I have this smoothie for breakfast, I won't be hungry for ages. It tries to counteract my bad snacking habit and gets me though until lunch time - and isn't that what breakfast should do?
